The Nominating Committee at Good Shepherd/El Buen Pastor Lutheran Church consists of five voting members, ideally including two outgoing members of the Congregation Council, and is elected during the annual meeting for a one-year term. The primary responsibility of this committee is to prayerfully identify, approach, and recommend qualified candidates for elected leadership positions, including the Congregation Council and Synod Assembly representatives. The committee ensures that the nominees reflect the congregation's diversity and are capable and willing to serve faithfully in these roles. Through its efforts, the Nominating Committee plays an essential role in raising up leadership that supports the congregation's mission, ensuring both representation and commitment within the church's leadership structure.This committee reports to the Congregational Council through a designated liaison.
